Spend pacing
Spend pacing describes the same discipline as budget pacing, framed from the other side of the relationship: instead of starting from the target (the budget) and asking whether you're on track, it starts from what has actually gone out (the spend) and compares it to where you'd expect to be by now. In practice the terms are used interchangeably — pacing is really about the relationship between the two, not which side you name first.
If a number is described as "spend pacing at 62%," that's the same underlying ratio as MTD pacing — actual spend measured against expected pace for the point the period has reached.
